Mitsubishi Motors Thailand signs MoU with EGAT to collaborate on the development of Vehicle to Grid (V2G)

[Nonthaburi] Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. led by Mr. Morikazu Chokki, President & CEO, (left) and Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum, Deputy Governor for Strategy at Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (right) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development, testing and data collection of energy conversion from Vehicle to Grid (V2G) by using Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and power control from the National Control Center at Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Head Office).

Additionally, the collaboration will include the plan to showcase Mitsubishi Motors’ Dendo Drive House technology at EGAT Learning Center, Headquarters to promote V2H innovation for sustainable energy.

Dendo Drive House is a package of systems conceptualized for households, comprised of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) Bi-directional charger, solar panels, and home battery. Dendo Drive House makes it possible to use power generated by the house to charge cars and conversely to supply power back into households from cars, offering a variety of benefits to customers such as cutting down on their electricity bills while offering convenience as an emergency power supply in case of emergencies.

This collaboration will be beneficial to Thailand energy management and also the back up for the emergency situation. We will work together with EGAT for electrification development to enrich the lives of people and drive the sustainable growth of Thailand” Mr. Chokki added.
