[Bangkok] Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has unveiled NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (PHEV) at the 37th Thailand International Motor Expo 2020, setting a new milestone in the company’s and Thailand’s automotive industry. NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV is a combination of legendary Mitsubishi Motors’ DNA, including 'Pajero', our legendary SUV 'Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution', the king of World Rally Championship that brought the superior performance legend of Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology and 'i-MiEV' the world’s first electric vehicle mass production.

“NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV provides you best in performance and outperforms in many areas, including an overall fuel consumption of 52.6 Km/L(2) or 1.9 L/100Km(2) under the NEDC(3), low carbon dioxide emission of 43 g/Km(2). Customers can enjoy more with smooth and quiet ride without compromising comfort and performance with “bi-energy” both electric charging and normal fuel. Meanwhile, it can also generate and provide electricity to run electric appliance up to 1,500 watt via on-board AC socket and can enjoy new type of life style.” added Mr. Chokki.

NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV comes with, for the first time in Thailand, Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC). S-AWC comprises Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Active Stability Control (ASC) and Active-Yaw Control (AYC) systems working together with separately-mounted twin electric motors. Driving forces are regulated independently on all four wheels, enhancing stability, drivability, controllability and cornering performance. S-AWC also work together with 4WD modes LOCK (delivers the full capabilities of 4WD all-terrain performance) SNOW (gives optimum traction and handling control when driving over slippery road surfaces), NORMAL (optimally regulates torque feed to each individual wheel in accordance with driving conditions) and SPORT (mode that sharpens the vehicle's throttle, steering and engine more responsiveness) respond to changes in terrain and traction on the move, maintaining stability, forward drive and controllability for the driver.

NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV comes with three driving modes – EV Mode (fully electric), SERIES HYBRID Mode (electric mode with engine supplying power to twin motors) and PARALLEL HYBRID Mode (both engine and electric motors combined to give the best performance and output). NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV switches seamlessly between the three drive modes automatically. It also uses Regenerative Braking to convert kinetic energy into electricity to keep the battery charged. Another advanced feature of NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV is Mitsubishi Remote Control – an advanced smart connectivity and control technologies compatible with iOS and Android platforms that allows remote monitoring of battery charging schedule, climate control and vehicle status monitoring.

And for the special launching support up to the booking until March 31, 2021 and complete the delivery by April 30, 2021, money support for home charger facility installation by THB 20,000(5).
